My home was built in the 1980s, and the windows are fogged or hazy. What does that mean?
Fogging between the panes of a double-pane window means the insulating seal has failed, and the inert gas that provides thermal resistance has escaped. The haze cannot be cleaned off because it is condensation between the two panes. The only fix is to replace the insulated glass unit or the entire window. We assess each window and give you a clear recommendation on what needs to be replaced and what can wait.
Do you install windows in older homes with non-standard opening sizes?
